		<description>I guess it&#039;s one thing to obsess over something like jumping on the scale a gazillion times a day (and believe me, I know what it&#039;s like to obsess - OCD patient here) as opposed to learning how to make the scale your best friend! 

If I am dieting and I know that I&#039;m doing good by eating right, I look forward to getting on the scale every morning. Oh yeah - it&#039;s that reward I get when I see the numbers going down to get me through the day. If you put it in your mind (because it&#039;s true) that weighing yourself throughout the day gives you false readings, you will steer clear of that.</description>

		<description>I disagree, I think weighing myself has kept my weight down. As an example, my freshman year in college I gained 20 pounds by Christmas. I had not weighed that whole time. I had no idea that I had gained that much.  Now I weigh most every day, and diet when I gain 10 pounds. (I eat healthy when not on diet also.) It is so much easier to lose 10 pounds than to lose 20 or 100 pounds. 

I think in terms of running average over a week, not my one time weight.  I am a Quality Engineer, and I believe in control charts. To Measure is to manage.
